How do I use my Tracked 24 label to send blades to you?

Using our new postage system is designed to be as easy as possible. Once you’ve securely packaged your blades (following our Mandatory Packaging Guide), here is how you get them on their way to us:

1. Find Your Link

As soon as you complete your order on our website, we’ll send you an Order Confirmation email. Inside that email, you will find a dedicated link to the Royal Mail portal to generate your pre-paid Tracked 24 label.

2. Enter Your Details

Click the link and fill in the required sections. It only takes a minute! Please make sure your name, address, and order number are entered correctly so we can identify your parcel the moment it arrives at our workshop.

3. Choose Your Delivery Option

This is the best part—you have three convenient ways to get the parcel to us:

  • Print at Home: If you have a printer, simply print the label and tape it securely to your padded envelope. You can then drop it off at any Post Office or Royal Mail Post Box.

  • No Printer? No Problem: You can take your parcel and your digital label (on your phone) to any Post Office or Royal Mail Customer Service Point. They will scan your QR code and print the label for you right there for free.

  • Home Collection: You can even book a collection! A postie will come to your door to pick up the parcel. They can often bring the label with them if you select that option during the process.

4. Keep Your Receipt

When you drop off your parcel or have it collected, you will be given a tracking number. Please keep this receipt safe. It is your proof of postage and allows you to track your blades' journey to us.

A Quick Reminder: Please remember that our Tracked 24 service provides insurance cover up to £150. If your equipment is worth more than this, we recommend arranging your own "Special Delivery" postage to ensure you have the level of cover you need.

Can I use my Tracked 24 label for Clipper Servicing?

Yes, you certainly can. However, before you start packing, please bear in mind that the contents are only covered up to £150 with this service. If this level of cover is okay for your equipment, please keep reading. If your clippers are worth more than £150, you will need to arrange your own Special Delivery via Royal Mail to ensure they are fully insured.

If you are happy to proceed with the Tracked 24 label, please follow these mandatory packaging steps to keep your equipment—and the postal workers—safe:

1. Use a Sturdy Box

Unlike small blades, clippers are heavy and mechanical. They must be packed into a sturdy box rather than just an envelope. Ensure the box is large enough to leave plenty of room around the clipper for extra packaging and shock protection.

2. Should I leave the blades on?

It is often very useful for our repair technicians to see the clippers exactly as you have been using them, so feel free to leave your blades assembled on the clipper. However, clippers with blades left on present a particular risk that needs to be carefully worked around. A clipper is heavy, and if it shifts in transit, the blades can easily act like a chisel and break through the packaging.

3. Mandatory Protection for Clippers & Blades

  • The "Armoured" Head: Pay extra special attention to wrapping the blades and the head of the clipper. Use heavy cardboard and thick cushioning to ensure the blades cannot cause damage to the box or break through.

  • Cushioning: Wrap the entire clipper body in bubble wrap or similar protection.

  • Fill the Gaps: Once the clipper is in the box, fill any empty space with packing material (like crumpled paper or air bags). The clipper should not be able to move or "rattle" at all when the box is shaken.

  • Extra Blades: If you are sending spare blades in the same box, wrap them individually in cardboard to ensure they don't pierce the outer container or scratch the clippers.

4. Safety & Liability

Items must present no risk to employees, other postal items, or recipients. This is to reduce the risk of damaged contents, lost items, and employee injury.

Important Reminder: In the unlikely event of loss or damage, Royal Mail are under no obligation to pay out if these mandatory guidelines are not adhered to. If you choose to use our Tracked 24 label for high-value clippers, you do so at your own risk for any value exceeding the £150 limit

It is essential that clipper blades should be looked after properly, as not only does it affect the life of your blades, but more costly, the life of your clipper. Proper care will help keep your clipper blades sharper for longer and will dramatically reduce wear and tear on your clipper. View our Blade Care Guide here.

As far as looking after your clipper is concerned, its really straight forward. The main thing is to look after your blades well. The friction that comes from blades that are not clean and lubricated cause extra wear on the drive components of your clipper. View our Clipper Care Guide here.

You can search for hours on end on the internet to find out exactly how a blade should be sharpened. Company A will say all blades should be ground flat, company B will say all blades should be hollow ground, company C will say all blades should be flat lapped and company D will say all blades should be hollow lapped. Our Sharpening Guide will help you decide which method is most suitable for you. View our Sharpening Guide here.
