Getting Your equipment to Us Safely

We want your blades and clippers to arrive in the same condition they left you! To keep everyone safe and ensure you are fully covered by Royal Mail, please follow these mandatory steps.

1. The "Safety First" Packaging Guide

Royal Mail has strict rules to protect their staff and your equipment. Please note: If these mandatory guidelines aren’t followed, Royal Mail may not pay out in the unlikely event of a claim.

  • Protect the points: Wrap heavy cardboard around all sharp edges and teeth. It needs to be strong enough so nothing can poke through the outer envelope.

  • Keep it still: Wrap each item in cushioning (like bubble wrap) and secure it to a flat piece of stiff card. This stops items from sliding around and knocking into each other.

  • The Outer Shell: Please use a strong padded envelope. This is the best way to prevent damage, lost items, or injury to postal workers.

2. Your Tracked 24 Label

Your order now includes Royal Mail Tracked 24 as standard. It’s faster and more reliable than our old system!

  • Check your email: Once you've ordered, look for your confirmation email. It contains a link to generate your unique postage label.

  • Fill in the blanks: Just enter your name, address, and order number.

  • Your choice: You can print the label at home, have it printed at the Post Office, or even book a home collection.

3. A Quick Note on Insurance

Our Tracked 24 service includes compensation for up to £150.

  • Need more cover? If your package is worth more than £150, we recommend arranging your own shipping with a higher level of insurance (like Special Delivery).

  • Currently, Shear Ease doesn’t have a built-in option for higher insurance, so if you use our Tracked 24 label for very high-value parcels, it will be at your own risk for any value over the £150 limit.
