  • You will need your Order Number (found on your confirmation) to complete the label.

  • No Printer? No problem. You can choose the "Print at the Post Office" or "Home Collection" options during the label setup.

3. Package Your Equipment

To ensure your equipment is covered by insurance and reaches us safely, you must follow our mandatory packaging requirements. Proper packing prevents your blades from piercing the envelope and keeps postal workers safe.

  • Blades & Scissors: These must be protected with heavy cardboard and secured to a rigid card inlay before being placed in a strong padded envelope.

  • Clippers: These must be wrapped in bubble wrap and sent in a sturdy cardboard box to prevent impact damage.

  • The Final Check: Tuck a copy of your order confirmation inside. Ensure your name, address, and order number are clearly visible on the outside of the package.

Important: Failure to follow these safety steps may void your Royal Mail insurance. For a detailed step-by-step on how to pack your specific items, please see our master guide below:

4. Send Your Package

When you generated your label on the Royal Mail website, you will have already selected how you want to get the package to us. Because your shipping arrangement for this journey is directly with them, you must follow the specific directions they provided at the time. Please refer back to your Royal Mail confirmation if you are unsure.

For your convenience, here is a quick summary of how those options usually work:

  • If you chose "Drop Off": Take your package to any Post Office or Royal Mail Customer Service Point. If you printed your own label at home, you can also use a standard red post box.

  • If you chose "Collection": Please ensure your package is sealed and ready for your postie at your scheduled collection time.

  • If you chose "Print at Post Office": Simply bring your package and the QR code (sent to your phone) to the counter. The staff will scan it and print the label for you.

Important Note on Insurance: Our Tracked 24 service includes tracking and insurance cover up to £150. If your equipment is worth more than this, we strongly recommend that you arrange your own Special Delivery at the Post Office instead. Shear Ease Ltd cannot be held liable for any value exceeding the £150 Royal Mail limit if you choose to use our provided label.
