Signature Same-Day Service: Blades and scissors arriving Monday to Friday are sharpened and dispatched the very same day they arrive.

Weekend Arrivals: Items arriving on Saturday or Sunday are processed and dispatched first thing on Monday morning.

To protect your equipment and ensure your postal insurance remains valid, please follow these mandatory requirements:

Insurance Limit: Our provided Tracked 24 label includes insurance cover for loss or damage up to £150.

High-Value Items: If your items are worth more than £150, we strongly recommend you arrange your own shipping (such as Royal Mail Special Delivery) with an appropriate level of cover. Shear Ease Ltd is not liable for values exceeding the £150 Royal Mail limit.

Mandatory Packaging: Royal Mail guidelines must be followed to qualify for a claim. All blades must be wrapped in heavy cardboard and secured to a rigid sheet of card to prevent movement and damage to the outer packaging.

Liability: Items must present no risk to postal employees or other mail. Packages that do not meet these safety standards may be rejected by the carrier or lead to denied insurance claims.

This service is for Standard A5 & Small Trimming Blades. These are the most common blades used by dog groomers and for equine "trimming" work.

The Credit Card Test: If you aren't sure, grab a standard credit card or driver's license.

• If your blade is NARROWER than the short side of the card, you are in the right place.

This service specifically covers:

• Standard A5 "Snap-On" Blades: These come as a single, pre-assembled unit that clicks onto your clipper hinge (approx. 4.5cm wide).
• Common Sizes: #40, #30, #15, #10, #7, #5, #4, and #3.
• Trimmer Blades: Smaller blades used for detailing and veterinary prep.

🛑 Important Exclusions:

Wide Blades: If your blade is marked with a "W" or "Wide", or is wider than the credit card, please use our Large Blade Service.

Two-Piece Blades: If your blades come in two separate pieces (a comb and a cutter) that is wider than the short edge of a credit card, please use our Large Blade Service.
